The Arab League welcomes back Syria amid the killing of a Syrian drug kingpin

On Sunday, representatives of 13 governments of the Arab League voted to allow Syria to rejoin the military and economic pact 12 years after its suspension over the war against its own citizens. And on Monday, a targeted airstrike killed a well known Syrian trafficker of captagon, a stimulant that has ravaged the region and that the Syrian government relies on for revenue. Marco Werman speaks with Caroline Rose of the New Lines Institute where she has a special focus on Syria’s illicit and lucrative captagon trade.
